NPA visited Del Monte Philippines Camp in Bukidnon

Last February 19th 2013, while we are so engrossed in our tele-serye program in one of our favorite channel, my son alerted me of the news(thru facebook) that NPA(New Peoples Army) group is present in one of the biggest business located in Bukidnon, which is 45-1 hour away from Cagayan de Oro City, where we are living for almost 38 years already, and this incident happened.

After watching television, we listened to our local radio station and true, the news is full of what is happening in the said place. That the rebel group destroyed some of the heavy equipment's  by burning them.  According to the news, while they are entering the place, they said they are NPA's and that they will not hurt civilians. I have also listened to the spokesman of the rebels(as interviewed thru radio) that says, they are against the company's expansion because it affects the natural resources of our country, but sources said this company exist for 87 years already if i were not mistaken with what i have heard and wondered why only now they woke up and realized it. But how about the numbers of families that this company has been helped by means of giving jobs, that sustained those people till now. What can they say about it?

I only hope and pray that this can be resolved by peaceful talks, so that civilians will not be endangered through cross-fire, while getting attention from the government.

I can hardly recall who is in the water, but am sure if it's not nang Babie the cousin of my husband or her daughter Bebing who was so kind to be my host during those time when, we are still busy building Or Nipa Hut and nowhere to stay.

Our Nipa Hut

Our nipa hut was built July 2008 in Talisayan Misamis, Oriental, near the Arcadia Beach Resort. It is made up of nipa, coco lumber, and bamboo, it takes month to build it. The carpenters were, only the relatives of my husband who are the residents of the place.

We visits there, every month, to supervise the plants especially coconut trees, the major crops we have in my husband small farm. The old coconuts that was planted by my husband grand father, were already tall that, doesn't bear enough fruits, we cut some of it and planted anew one to replace, the old one.

Sunday's and holiday's when our children feel having a break from the city, we go there and have some fun in the beach and in the farm.

It's been , almost five years and the hut needs repair, especially the roof which is made of nipa, so with the other parts that needs attention.

our children married late that is why our grand children are still age 2 years and 5 months (not in the picture) , 1 year and 5 months, 1 year and 3 months. the two older one on our sides are our step grand children.

i used to go to our local market when i am not tired. i am so surprised when the market vendor of a vegetable (one already cut ready for cooking) they sell two (@) packs at php 15.00 and if you buy only one pack it cost php 10.00. i was so disgusted thinking jokingly what kind of strategy is this ? or is it right to say they don't know simple math? how would we think of them? i didn't buy at that time.

in the public market when you buy one kilo of fish and it cost php 25.00. if you are goind to buy one half 1/2 kilo only the price is15.00. I asked myself.... what is this? i really couldn't imagine what are they doing? is this robbery with the knowledge of the one concern?

with this experience i tell myself better to buy in the malls, superstores or something of the like than in our public market. i have also noticed that when weighing the goods we are buying they are cheating by i don't know

Wooden Chess Sets-Hand Carved

My husband is so fond of making  chess sets carved religiously by hand, during his pastime,  ex. watching television and listening to radios.

He started carving, when one of the pieces of his chess set was lost. He tried to carved one and found out that, he has the talent to do so. Without knowing, he finished a set and so on.

Anyone interested to this, may contact me privately. This is made of Narra, Santol and Molave tree. Pictures of this Chess Sets will follow either eight (8) hours from now or tomorrow. I have to wait for my youngest son to have it upload for me. (am not so particular with this computer that , I don't know well how to upload pictures from my camera.)

ALMOST A YEAR

March 2012 since my last post, i came to realize, maybe i have to continue posting, hmm seems interesting, now that i become a little bit busy since our first son came home from abroad. I stop because, whatever i do, i don't feel writing anything. I don't really know why........maybe this is already the result of being old. lol.....i am sorry again.....
